a personal note

My thanks to all who noticed the break in my posting habit, several posts per week on average. My wife fell off of her Vespa, mercifully while travelling at low speed, and landed on a patch of grass aside a street berm but also landed on her right ankle, breaking bones in 3 places. There were no other injuries, but the broken bones were sufficiently dire. Now 2+ weeks beyond the surgery, and lots of screws and plates later, she is doing well. Indeed, we took a long walk around our neighbourhood yesterday on a lovely late summer afternoon, she in her lightweight wheelchair. Having been at her side these past weeks, I am beginning to wander again for short walks with camera in hand. I shall resume soon my regular flow of weekly posts. Her strength and determination to heal and resume her active life have been inspiring.
