NZ Visual Diary - entry 165
docked in Silo Marina
All manner of seafaring vessel appear in the marinas that dot the Auckland harbour front. Some lay anchor long enough to reprovision only to disappear beyond the horizon. Others remain, seemingly to extend the meaning of dry dock.
Mosts boats are sleek objects, varying in size but sharing a common nimbleness.
The vessel pictured here is unusual for Silo Marina, neither sleek nor modern. It has been places and brought abroad many stories, some of them welcomed.
