Silo Park playground - Wynyard Quarter

We would expect the harbour area of an international city to be awash with restaurants and bars. Auckland’s harbour area, stretching from Queens Wharf across Viaduct Harbour to Wynyard Quarter, does not disappoint.

The. delightful surprise is the amount of space Wynyard Quarter devotes to family-friendly places. From the expansive Silo Park playground rendered in this image to the numerous pocket parks and water features that populate the district, Wynyard Quarter attracts scores of families on weekends throughout the year.

On a balmy summer day, a stroll around the district is a simple but glorious pleasure.
