High Street - building profile
High Street runs roughly parallel to Queen Street. Its architectural history has been much more preserved than its Queen Street neighbour.
I am attracted to High Street, its twist and turns, the narrowness of its passage.
Both colour and form attracted me to this building profile.
Like layers of sediment in an archaeological dig, the vertical sweep in this image reveals stories of shifting architectural fashion, age and neglect.
Atop the carefully manicured form, one delights to find a jaunty nod to a past.
