NZ Visual Diary - entry 205
rooftop colour
I approach the exploration of a city as a form of photographic archaeology in which a city presents itself in illuminated layers, a stratification by street or visual plane.
I enjoy finding a moment of confusion in the layering of material forms, the superimposition of the stately or staid with that of iridescent decay.
And so it was with this find: artifactual evidence seemingly of disparate peoples and temporal circumstances.
