Freyberg Square gathering

This photograph was captured during my first walk about Auckland Central after my return from Melbourne.

It being Sunday, which usual means a crowd will gather at Freyberg Square, I decided to head from Wynyard Quarter across the Wynyard Crossing bridge, with a stop at Te Komititanga Square, and then walk along O’Connell Street to Freyberg Square.

The early spring weather attracted a crowd and I sat on the steps at the south end of the square and waited for a photograph to materialise.

And so it did.
