muted charm on Ponsonby Road

Three restaurants, which also serve as live music venues, occupy the 151-155 block of Ponsonby Road. I love the block’s muted confidence: urban laidback meets punctuated colour. It is much the same vibe as that of their hospitality cousins on K Road.

Farther down Ponsonby Road, as one heads toward the Jervois Road exchange and the upscale enclaves of the bays, St Marys and Hern, things get glittery.

My bearing remains resolutely at this end of Ponsonby as I attempt to capture with camera understated charm.
