K Road - visual vignette 1
Commercial blocks in urban centres often present, visually speaking, a yesteryear quality. If gentrification or ruinous storefront shuttering has not seeped in, the visual appeal of a city block may evince a hazy sentimentality of times past.
Upon closer inspection, dissonant outliers emerge: sneakers not shoes; men without hats; women in sweatpants and tights not dresses; and implements of micro-mobility.
My self-assigned task with today's post was to produce an image, the first in a series of K Road visual vignettes, that conveyed the temporal shimmer of reminiscence.
