Queen Street horizons
The character, the very confidence and self-awareness of a city, of the people who embrace it as their home, can be found in the material evidence that it/they hold dearly as valuable the old and the new.
At a young age, my daughters learned a little song, so simple and yet profound, that we would often sing together:
Make new friends, but keep the old;
one is silver and the other gold.
Indeed, one is silver and the other gold.
