NZ Visual Diary - entry 415
lunch time - Takutai Square
Before the completion of Te Komititanga Square at the west end of the Britomart District, Takutai Square was the main public square of the waterfront district.
Bordered to the east by the EY Building and Gore Street along the its western boundary, Takutai Square is a civic incubator along Auckland’s foreshore. It’s a popular spot for the lunch crowd in the warm months. Regular food truck events and a weekly farmers market also draw large crowds.
On the right edge of the photography one can see the upper portions of some of the volcanic cone skylights featured in a previous post.
